“Digital Credential Innovation Challenge” Officially Launched

Exploring the Future of Digital Governance, Creating New Experiences in Innovative Services!

The Ministry of Digital Affairs has officially launched the “Digital Credential Innovation Challenge”, opening registration on Monday, September 8, 2025!

Centered on the “Digital Credential Wallet” as the core technology, the competition welcomes students and professionals nationwide to form teams. Through prototype development and scenario design, participants will jointly explore new possibilities in digital public governance.

Theme

Digital Credentials × Application Scenarios × Social Innovation

The Digital Credential Wallet is not just an e-wallet or an identity tool. It is a digital carrier that integrates diverse credentials (such as student IDs, driver’s licenses, technician certificates, training certificates, etc.). By adopting international standards such as VC (Verifiable Credential) and DID (Decentralized Identifier), and combining decentralized storage, biometric authentication, and selective disclosure, the wallet empowers users with data autonomy, strengthens privacy protection, and enhances service efficiency.

Core Technical Objectives

  • Self-sovereign digital identity
  • Trusted and secure data
  • Interoperable applications

Three Competition Tracks

  • Convenience Service Innovation: Improving everyday life convenience
