This challenge focuses on the Taiwan Digital Identity Wallet (TW DIW), aiming to drive practical innovation in government digital services, rebuild trust frameworks, and evolve user experience.

Digital Identity Wallets adopt international standards such as W3C, Verifiable Credential (VC), and Decentralized Identifier (DID), combined with decentralized storage, biometric authentication, and zero-knowledge proof technologies to enhance privacy, building a decentralized architecture centered on data autonomy and trusted security.

Core Technical Objectives: Digital Identity Autonomy, Data Security, Interoperability

Verifiable Credential (VC): Uses W3C VC standard; credentials are encrypted and signed, verifiable offline, reducing data leakage risks.
Decentralized Storage: Credentials are stored on personal devices, avoiding centralized database risks. Trust lists are recorded on public blockchains across global nodes for anti-tampering.
Decentralized Identifier (DID): Credentials are issued without linking to personal data, ensuring privacy and autonomy.
Local Biometric Authentication: Fingerprint/face bindings are stored only on devices, not transmitted to the cloud, ensuring secure and private logins.
